The Loyola men’s basketball team (16-4, 7-2) suffered its second loss in conference play at Drake University Jan. 30 after handing 20 points to the Bulldogs off 16 turnovers.
Coming into this game, Loyola held the No. 1 spot in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and Drake followed behind at No. 2. Now, both teams share the top spot in the standings.
“I think offensively in the second half … we gotta be better with our decision making,” Loyola head coach Drew Valentine said. “I thought we broke off plays too much … we’ve got to understand that we’ve got to trust our brothers in the locker room, and that you don’t have to do it all on your own for us to be successful.
