For the second time in as many seasons, the Loyola men’s soccer team has a player headed to the Chicago Fire.
Redshirt senior defender Grant Stoneman, a native of western suburb St. Charles, was selected 55th overall in the third round of the 2019 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft, it was announced Monday. This comes after an illustrious career for the Ramblers in which Stoneman picked up multiple honors including Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and two United Soccer Coaches first team All-West Region selection.
