The Loyola men’s basketball team announced it will be pausing all team activities due to positive COVID-19 tests among the team’s personnel, per a Nov. 16 press release. Loyola Athletics confirmed that it was more than one positive test, but would not give a specific number or answer questions about who tested positive on the team’s personnel which is made up of student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff.
It’s unclear when the team will resume activities.
College basketball’s season is scheduled to begin Nov. 25, but will now be delayed for the Ramblers’ season.
Head coach Porter Moser and the rest of the team returned to practice July 20.
