The Loyola men’s soccer team (2-0-0) remain perfect on the year after a 1-0 victory over Northern Illinois University at Loyola Soccer Park Sunday afternoon. Senior midfielder Aidan Megally scored the game’s lone goal.
The win is the Ramblers’ second victory in less than two days after they notched a win in their season opener against University of Vermont Aug. 30. Loyola head coach Neil Jones praised his team’s ability to perform well despite such a short turnaround.
“Today was a real battle,” Jones said following the win. “Less than 40 hours since our last game, our guys put in a great shift today.
