The Loyola men’s basketball team (18-4, 9-2) took down Missouri State University 71-62 on the road to reclaim first place in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). Loyola is now 9-2 in MVC play after being tied for first with Drake University.
The win ties the regular season series between the two teams 1-1 after Missouri State snapped Loyola’s thirty-game home winning streak — the fourth longest in the NCAA — Jan. 23. The Ramblers managed to flip the script in Springfield by shooting 47.1% from beyond the arc and 53.1% from the field.
