Coming off a close, season-ending loss to conference rival Wichita State University in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) tournament on March 4, the Loyola men’s basketball team is ready to show it means business in the MVC this year.
But first, the team must make some adjustments after losing four seniors from last year’s squad. Of those four, Montel James, Devon Turk and Earl Peterson were three of the team’s top four scorers and averaged 10.6 points per game combined.
Loyola still has senior guard Milton Doyle, who averaged 11.2 points per game last season. Doyle, with 317 career assists, has the 10th most career assists in Loyola history.
