The Loyola women’s basketball team (1-0) opened its season with a decisive road victory against Chicago State University 70-57 Nov. 28 at the Jones Convocation Center. First-year forward Sitori Tanin led the Ramblers with 16 points in her collegiate debut.
With the fall seasons postponed and the start of the college basketball season delayed due to COVID-19, Loyola head coach Kate Achter said she told her team to just enjoy the opportunity to play in a game.
“We told our kids before the game, ‘Savor every moment of it because you don’t know if we’re going to get another one,’” Achter said after the game.
