For the first time since 2012, the “Red Line Rivalry” between Loyola and DePaul University is set to be renewed in men’s basketball.
The Ramblers and Blue Demons are scheduled to open a home-and-home series Dec. 13 at Wintrust Arena, Loyola announced in a press release. DePaul would then play at Gentile Arena Dec. 12, 2021 as part of the agreement.
“I’m really excited to get this series started up again,” Loyola head coach Porter Moser said in a statement. “Having grown up in Chicago, I know how much this rivalry means, especially to the passionate college basketball fans in this great city.
