In the Atlantic 10 (A-10) Championship final, the Loyola men’s soccer team (9-2-7) fell to No. 20 Saint Louis University (SLU) 3-2 in a penalty shootout in St. Louis Nov. 13. The Ramblers failed to record a shot on goal in 110 minutes of play and missed two shots in the shootout after regulation ended with a 0-0 draw.

Loyola kicked off the match by pushing possession deep into SLU’s end of the field, but the Billikens’ defense ended its chance by intercepting a pass. In the second minute, redshirt senior midfielder Billy Hency took Loyola’s first corner kick, but SLU cleared the ball to stop the scoring opportunity.
