The Loyola men’s basketball team (1-0) rallied past Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in an 88-82 overtime victory at Gentile Arena Nov. 7. Led by junior guard Sheldon Edward’s 19 points and a buzzer-beating fadeaway jumper to force overtime, the Ramblers picked up the win in their first regular season game.

FDU won the tip-off to start the game, but its possession ended quickly after a missed three-pointer. The Knights started strong on defense, forcing three missed shots in Loyola’s first possession — two by junior forward Philip Alston and one by redshirt senior guard Braden Norris.
