The Loyola women’s soccer team’s dreams of a deep NCAA Tournament run are over after losing to Hofstra University. The Ramblers’ season came to an end after they fell to Hofstra 1-0 in overtime Saturday afternoon at Hofstra Soccer Stadium in Hempstead, New York.
This is the second year in a row the Ramblers lost 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament after losing to eventual-champion Florida State University in the opening round of last year’s tournament.
Loyola finished the season with a record of 14-5-1, including an undefeated 7-0-0 in conference play.
