The Loyola women’s basketball team spent its past two games facing off against the first-place and last-place teams in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). With six games left in the regular season, the Ramblers currently sit at seventh place in the MVC standings.

After two straight losses on the road, Loyola fell to 57-53 to Illinois State University — largely due to Loyola’s poor shooting and 25 personal fouls.
The Redbirds were led by their high-energy offense, which averages 66.6 points per game. Illinois State leads the MVC in field goal percentage and three-point shooting percentage with 45% and 36%, respectively.
