The Loyola men’s basketball team (4-2) fell to No.19 Auburn University 62-53 after committing 18 turnovers in a roller coaster game full of ties and lead changes.
In the first-ever matchup between Loyola and Auburn, both teams came into the game following a loss in the first round of the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis tournament Nov. 24.
Loyola held a 38-123 all-time record against ranked teams previous to the match, but had won five out of its last eight matches against teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
