Loyola will be leaving the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and joining the Atlantic 10 (A-10) Conference for the 2022-2023 season, according to an A10 press release.
The Ramblers will be the 15th university in the conference and the fourth Jesuit school — joining Saint Louis University, St. Joseph’s University and Fordham University.
Loyola President Dr. Jo Ann Rooney said the move will set Loyola up for “greater success, both athletically and academically.”
“I am excited to announce that Loyola University Chicago will be joining the Atlantic 10 Conference beginning in the 2022-23 academic year,” Rooney said in a statement.
