After a score of upset victories, a program record for wins and millions of broken brackets, the Loyola men’s basketball team knew after its Final Four finish it created a target on its back heading into the 2018-19 season.
Facing fired-up teams and fan bases eager to take them down on a nightly basis, as well as the increased expectations from Loyola’s own awakened fan base, the pressure on the Ramblers began to mount. All of this increased attention and hype around the program led head coach Porter Moser to quickly realize this season’s attempt at a repeat act wouldn’t be easy.
