Even though Jonah Blatt looks like he should be interceding fans’ prayers for victory, his game day pope costume is simply a sign of his faith in the Ramblers. While the outfit is new, the Loyola junior has been preaching the gospel of Porter Moser from the front row of section 102 since before the ‘Blers’ big break last year.
Even though the Ramblers weren’t what they are now — the team finished in fifth place in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) in the 2016-17 season — Blatt said he loved coming out to support the team.
Blatt was one of the inaugural members of The Pack, Loyola’s official student section.
