In a semifinal matchup that saw two of the top Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) teams go neck-and-neck throughout a thrilling overtime matchup, No. 3 seed Drake University came out victorious over No. 2 seed Missouri State. The Bulldogs snatched a ticket to the MVC Championship with a final score of 79-78.
This is the second consecutive year Loyola and Drake will face off in the MVC Championship. In 2021, the Ramblers came out victorious with a 75-65 win, but Drake still punched a ticket to the NCAA Tournament with an at-large bid.
The first points on the board came from Missouri State’s Donovan Clay, which the team eventually turned into a 4-0 lead thanks to a layup from Isiaih Mosley.
