The Loyola women’s soccer team (6-5-2, 2-3) fell to the University of Dayton 1-0 at Loyola Soccer Park Oct. 2. The Flyers — currently sitting atop the Atlantic 10 (A-10) — recorded a total of nine shots on goal while keeping the Ramblers at zero.
Loyola kicked off the game by pushing into Dayton’s half of the field by applying effective offensive pressure. The Ramblers recovered the ball and earned a corner kick within the first minute of the game, but possession was quickly regained by the Flyers.
Dayton was quick to respond to Loyola’s early threat.
