Watching the reactions of men when they hear about my job is always interesting. The first reaction I get when I tell people about my job is shock. Other times, I’m bombarded with random sports questions. Usually, I’m asked about my intentions or am even mocked — it may be funny to them, but never to me.
Sports isn’t a new concept to me. I played every sport available to me when I was younger, including softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, golf, tennis and have been a dancer for the past 18 years. My mom, one of my old basketball coaches and a retired player herself, always made sure I was involved in some kind of sport.
