Women’s Tennis - from the ITA Southwest Regional
Friday: LMU women’s tennis is still standing in the 2017 ITA Southwest Regional, hosted by Pepperdine in Malibu, California. The Lions have two players in the main draw and two pairs still alive in the double’s bracket after Friday’s match from San Diego.
In the singles bracket, freshmen Veronica Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek reached the quarterfinal rounds. Miroshnichenko came into the tournament as the 10th seed, and Voracek is the 14th seed.
As for doubles, senior Anna Romeka and sophomore Siobhan Anderson conquered #1 seed, Pepperdine’s pair of Ahmed/Lahey 8-2, on Friday.
