With a 3-1 defeat of Pepperdine University on Saturday, the volleyball team has set itself up in a perfect situation to finish its 2016 season with momentum and a chance to prove to the selection committee that they deserve to be in the post-season tournament.
The Lions are slated to play the No. 10 ranked team in the nation, Brigham Young University (BYU), tomorrow at home. The Cougars are tied for first in the West Coast Conference (WCC) with the University of San Diego with a 15-2 record. BYU defeated LMU 3-2 exactly one month ago as of Tuesday’s game day.
