University of Louisville President Neeli Bendapudi formally launched her strategic plan in two three-year plans instead of a 10-year plan on Jan. 24 in the Student Activities Center Multipurpose Room.
“I’m nervous, but it’s a happy-excited nervous, ‘I can’t wait to see what we all do together’ type of nervous,” said Bendapudi.
Bendapudi started the launch emphasizing that strategic plans for a university take more time to put together than 100-day plans at businesses.
When she talked about the planning process involved in preparing for strategic plans she said, “A lot of times, these plans sound wonderful, but the problem is nobody looks at it until the strategic plan is due.
