Sophomore forward Isabella Habuda scored a goal after rebounding her initial shot attempt in the 20th minute to give Louisville a 1-0 victory over Morehead State on Thursday night at the Lynn Stadium.
“I saw the ball coming, it hit the post, but luckily I was there to get the rebound,” Habuda said.
The Cardinals (5-5-1) had a persistent offensive attack throughout the match with Habuda leading the team in shots with five. Morehead State’s back line faced pressure all night, Louisville outshot the Eagles 15 to 4.
On the opposite side, Louisville’s defense held firm.
