Louisville was able to add some veteran talent to their Cornerback room today with the addition of Iowa Western CC Cornerback Trey Franklin. Franklin was a NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention recipient at Defensive Back and comes to Louisville after one season at Buffalo and one year at the JUCO level. He is originally from Warner Robins, Georgia where Bryan Brown routinely recruits.
Franklin is a little undersized at 5-10/175 but he has long limbs and he has no issue with throwing his body around as a tackler. He is a cover corner from the standpoint that he excels at turning and running with receivers and he shows good speed in his highlights.
