The year was 2014 and the Louisville football team was (5-1) heading into play Freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers. The Cardinals were on a roll as their only loss so far was a 23-21 road loss to the Virginia Cavaliers.
Reggie Bonnafon was rolling at the quarterback position and just came off of a 28-6 win against the Syracuse Orange. Playing the Tigers in Clemson was going to be a statement game for the Cardinals in their first season in the ACC.
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, the game didn’t turn out the way everyone had hoped.
