Despite the Eastern student section chanting “overrated” in his direction during the first half, Louisville signee David Johnson proved once again Thursday night that he’s the best high school player in the Derby City.
Johnson scored 12 first half points to bury the Eagles early on, and then went on cruise control after halftime as Trinity rolled to a 55-20 victory in the 7th Region tournament semifinals. Johnson and company will face Ballard Saturday night at 7 for a trip to the Sweet 16.
