Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Cort Dennison will return to the program as the Co-Defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach. Dennison coached linebackers for Peter Sirmon’s defense before leaving for the same position at Oregon. The hire is a major step in building a strong staff of proven recruiters to go with an experienced staff of coaches who can build the culture and atmosphere that Scott Satterfield is known for.
Dennison is one of the most highly regarded young coaches in the country, especially when it comes to recruiting. After landing 11 commits for the Louisville class in 2018, he was the top recruiter for Oregon’s 6th ranked 2019 class, per 247.
