Sophomore LHP Reid Detmers will be one to watch for Louisville baseball in 2019. The Cardinals have plenty of outstanding pitching this season, and Detmers is a key part of that mix.
The 19-year-old from Springfield, Illinois has already done damage this year, and was the first Cardinal to get an ACC weekly honor after being named ACC Pitcher of the Week on Monday. This honor came after a near no-hitter for the Cardinals Friday against Brown.
In his second start of the season, Detmers pitched seven innings, handed out a career-high 11 strikeouts, and left the Bears hitless while only allowing one walk.
