With a 78-71 win over 10th-seeded Georgia Tech, Notre Dame has advanced to the second round of the ACC tournament in Charlotte. The Fighting Irish will take on Louisville Wednesday night at 7 on ESPN2.
U of L and Notre Dame played their only regular season game just nine days ago in Louisville. The Cardinals prevailed, 75-61, thanks in large part to a 20-point, 11-rebound effort from Jordan Nwora, and 16 and 13 from Malik Williams.
On Tuesday, Notre Dame was once again led by star John Mooney, who posted 20 points and 10 rebounds. Mooney has 19 double-doubles on the season, the most in the ACC and seven more than the next closest player (North Carolina’s Luke Maye).
