Louisville’s quarterback room received a nice boost Monday afternoon with the news that Nebraska’s Luke McCaffrey is going to be a Cardinal.

A redshirt freshman in 2020, McCaffrey split time at QB with Adrian Martinez and finished the year with 466 pass yards and a touchdown, but also tossed six interceptions. He added 364 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 65 carries. As a true freshman in 2019, McCaffrey completed 9-of-12 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 166 yards and another score.
