Two veterans of the Louisville football program announced Monday that they will be wrapping up. their college careers elsewhere.
Quarterback Jawon “Puna” Pass and cornerback Anthony Johnson both officially entered the NCAA transfer portal. The Pass news was broken by Chris Hummer of 247 Sports, while Johnson made his announcement on social media.
Louisville’s starting quarterback for nearly the entirety of the 2018 season and for the first two games of 2019, Pass leaves U of L with 2,545 yards passing and 14 career touchdowns. He played well in those first two games of 2019, but a foot injury ended his season and allowed Malik Cunningham to step in and seize control of the position.
