After the Bobby Petrino era finished with a complete implosion and the Louisville football program was left in disarray, it’s no shock that there’s next to no national love for the Cardinals in 2019. New head coach Scott Satterfield was left to pick up the pieces from an era that left a bad taste in the mouths of everyone around the program.
Still, many quickly forget that prior to Petino’s exit, there was some decent momentum building for the Cards on the recruiting trail. The staff was bringing in top power five talent over their last three classes, and though the product on the field didn’t reflect it, the cupboard was not left bare in a lot of areas.
