It was a bad omen when it was announced before the game that Arica Carter would not be playing because of a knee injury. The situation did not improve when Sam Fuehring (who was already playing with a broken nose sustained in yesterday’s game) went to the floor in pain after twisting her ankle early in the second quarter. There are some teams in the ACC Louisville could take on short-handed and still come out with a victory. Notre Dame is not one of those teams.
Notre Dame killed the Cards on the inside. They were scoring layups at will and grabbing every rebound (29-44).
