Louisville basketball recently landed its first recruit from the 2026 class, London Johnson. While many college basketball fans and coaches were outraged by this, Pat Kelsey made it clear after the Kansas game that he sees no difference between signing a G-League player and signing a player from a professional league overseas.
"I think it is the same exact thing," Kelsey stated on Louisville signing Johnson from the G-League. "I don't think there is any difference. A ton of schools signing players that were professional players and signed professional contracts in professional basketball leagues."
Well, now that Kelsey landed the first G-League player, a bunch have begun opening their phone lines and considering going from the G-League to college basketball, including forward Kok Yat, who Louisville is in contact with, according to Joe Tipton.
