The reigning kings of the ACC started their quest to continue last season's domination on the diamond with a Friday doubleheader against visiting Notre Dame.
It was an eventful afternoon at The Patt. One which saw a walk-off extra inning home run in the first game, a player hit for the cycle (the first time it had been done by a Notre Dame player in 16 years) in the second, and a pair of victories for the fifth-ranked Cardinals.
