Lamar Jackson named Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week

From U of L:

After putting on one of the greatest offensive displays in school history, University of Louisville sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson was named The Walter Camp Football Foundation National Offensive Player of Week.

He is the third Louisville player, and the first offensive honoree to earn the award -- joining defensive standouts Gerod Holliman in 2014 and Elvis Dumervil in 2005.

In leading the Cardinals over Charlotte on Thursday night, Jackson accounted for a school record eight touchdowns -- all coming in the first half -- in the 70-14 season-opening win at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
