Moments before the UofL-Albany tipoff in the first round of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, a huge roar goes up in the crowd of 8,407 at the KFC Yum! Center. Everyone turning, many of them rising to their feet, to catch a glimpse of a familiar face A smiling face, raising his hands above his head, flashing what will become a familiar smile again.
He, of course, is Kenny Payne, the newly anointed head basketball coach at the University of Louisville men’s basketball team.
