Kelsi Worrell wins Olympic Gold in Rio

University of Louisville swimmer Kelsi Worrell won an Olympic gold medal for the United States as part of the women's 4 x 100 medley relay team Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro.

In yesterday's prelims, Worrell swam the butterfly leg with a split of 56.47 and the team's 3:54.67 seeded the USA top for the final.

The final foursome of Kathleen Baker, Lilly King, Dana Vollmer and Simone Manuel combined for a 3:53.13 for the gold. It came down to a race for the silver and bronze between Australia, Denmark, China, and Canada.
