Cards bounce back with critical 69-57 win over Notre Dame

Playing without its starting point guard and just three days removed from the most lopsided conference loss in program history, Louisville scored a crucial 69-57 win over Notre Dame Tuesday night at the KFC Yum Center. The Cardinals never trailed in the game.

While Carlik Jones and Samuell Williamson each turned in stellar offensive performances, it was the U of L defense that defined the evening.

Against a Notre Dame that entered Tuesday No. 15 in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency, Louisville limited its visitors to 57 points on juts 36.8 percent shooting from the field.
