Louisville baseball blew out Eastern Carolina University 15-1 June 7 in the NCAA Super Regionals at Jim Patterson Stadium.
The game one win puts the Cardinals one away from advancing to the College World Series. It would be their fifth appearance.
Both teams had a slow start, neither scoring for the first three innings. Sophomore Reid Detmers had four strike-outs in the first four innings.
Senior Tyler Fitzgerald doubled to left field with one out scoring junior Logan Wyatt. Louisville then played another three innings on Danny Orinete’s double to right field.
