The University of Louisville sent out a RAVE Alert at 11:55 a.m.
The alert notified students and staff that the University of Louisville Police Department and the Louisville Metro Police Department are investigating a non-affiliated death at the Health Science Center’s Chestnut street garage involving a fall.
Jill Scoggins, the interim communications and marketing director at the HSC, said that someone fell or possibly jumped off the Chestnut Garage. The victim was found dead on the scene. Scoggins told the Louisville Cardinal that LMPD is heading the investigation. The victim’s kin has yet to be notified.
