As Miami quarterback Carson Beck was driving down the field with under two minutes left — down 24–21 — Louisville football fans everywhere were hoping for overtime but bracing for heartbreak. That is, until sophomore linebacker T.J. Capers, a Miami native, snatched Beck’s fourth interception of the night with just 32 seconds remaining to seal a monumental Cardinals victory.
Led by head coach Jeff Brohm, the Cardinals pulled off the ACC upset of the year, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise — Brohm now owns four wins over top-five teams as an unranked head coach.
