As you may have heard, Louisville will reportedly be one of several schools included in the latest edition of the award-winning NBA 2K video game series.
While the Ed O’Bannon case over player likenesses essentially ended college sports-centric video games, NBA 2K16 has perhaps found a way to work around the rules. With renowned director Spike Lee at the helm of this year’s game, its likely that Louisville and the other schools featured will have no existing ties to players. Thus avoiding breaking the obvious issues that brought about the case.
Instead, its expected that a college portion will be added to the game’s version of a career mode “MyPlayer.
