MONROE, La. – Eight straight is not something the ULM softball team would be saying at this point in the season, as they dropped the Sun Belt series today (April 28) to Georgia State in the Saturday double-header.
ULM is consistently out performing their opponents at the plate, even in contests in which their offensive efforts fall short.
"We hit the ball well today and for the most part, made smart choice at the plate," said head softball coach Corey Lyon. "Unfortunately, we couldn't manage a hit when we needed it most."
ULM jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a strong three-run second inning, sparked by a two-run RBI single to center field off the bat of sophomore Jayden Mount.
