MONROE, La. – The ULM Warhawks were swept by I-20 rival Louisiana Tech Tuesday night, falling 3-0 at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
"When we executed the game plan, we were spot on," head coach Charlie Olson said. "And when we didn't execute, Tech took full advantage of it."
Louisiana Tech (11-4, 1-0 Conference USA) jumped out to a quick lead in set one before a Kate Blasingame kill put ULM (9-8, 0-2 Sun Belt) back on the right track. A kill by Alix Christie brought the Warhawks back within four.
The Lady Techsters pulled away again before the Warhawks found a rhythm and a kill from Lauren Appelman put ULM in the lead, 24-23.
