MONROE, La. – First year head volleyball coach Russ Friedland has already tackled one of the biggest obstacles of any new coach, surpassing the previous year's win record. Tonight (Sept. 18), the ULM volleyball team swept Jackson State for its sixth win of the season, now heading into conference play at .500 on the season overall.
"We had some performances that need some adjustments, but overall, our energy got better, the crowd was great and we feed off of that," said Friedland. "But overall, really happy with our performance and excited to work for two more days and come back in here and hopefully people will come out and support us in conference play.
