LAFAYETTE, La. -- ULM led 2-1 after the top of the fifth inning, but No. 19 Louisiana-Lafayette used a big bottom of the fifth to claim a 6-2 win on Saturday at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.
Louisiana-Lafayette (37-19, 21-9 Sun Belt) scored the game’s first run in the bottom of the first inning as Stefan Trosclair drove in Kyle Clement with a single up the middle.
ULM (20-35, 10-20) took a 2-1 advantage in the top half of the fifth inning. Spencer Hemphill led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on Brian Barefoot’s sacrifice bunt.
