SAN MARCOS, Texas – A lost lead in the third set was the catalyst for a 3-0 (15-25, 16-25, 18-25) defeat for ULM volleyball at the hands of Texas State Saturday afternoon.
Amelia Piekut once again led the way offensively for the Warhawks (9-15, 0-10 Sun Belt) with seven kills and an ace. Morgan Howard also collected a team-leading 21 assists and 16 digs throughout three sets.
Similar to the first match, the Bobcats (10-11, 5-5 Sun Belt) started the first set strong with a 7-2 run. ULM crawled back into it with a 4-1 run to make it a two-point set.
