TROY, Ala. - The seventh-seeded ULM softball team hung on late in the first round of the SBC Championship against six seed Georgia Southern on Wednesday afternoon for a 5-4 victory to advance into the double elimination play. The Warhawks now move on to face No. 3 Georgia State Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m.

-Holding a one-run lead in the top of the seventh, Melanie Coyne delivered a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Hunter Hogan for an insurance run to give the Warhawks a 5-3 lead.
