MONROE, La. – A combination of poor hitting and ten Arkansas State blocks resulted in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-18) loss for ULM volleyball Friday night.
ULM ended the match with a hitting percentage of -.009 and totaled 26 attack errors. In comparison, ASU held a .216 percentage with only 13 errors.
The Red Wolves (9-6, 3-2 Sun Belt) wasted no time in the first set, storming out to an 8-1 lead early. After a kill by Kenzie Behl, ASU added five more points to increase the lead to 11. The set was wrapped up with the insurmountable deficit, but the Warhawks (9-10, 0-5 Sun Belt) produced positive momentum entering the second, outscoring Arkansas State 14-11 to end the set.
